Yes that's the absolute ideal way of learning to be bilingual, being raised bilingual. Not all of us have that opportunity but there have certainly been people who have had a lot of success in mastering the speaking of a foreign language whilst not being raised bilingual.

ahh you got it backwards somewhat. she's 100% japanese but also happens to be an american-born citizen. that means she was naturalised as an american citizen coz she was born in the U.S.

me too. i can play with my voice doing some deep voice villain quotes in Jap but can't do it in Eng.
