Buddy Rich : At The Top, recorded at The Top of the Plaza in Rochester, NY on February 6, 1973, remains one of the most sought-after and influential shows ever recorded by Buddy Rich. Buddy was in his absolute prime that night, and his band was one of the best editions he ever had, roaring on definitive classics, such as the odd time signature-laden "TIME CHECK," seen here. (Sorry for the two quick jumps near the start, its fine other than those 2 seconds)

@MarkR1957 Oh, I'm a musician/drummer. I know how to play. Buddy was an illiterate drummer who rushes the tempo like an engine that needs a "tune up." buddy boy
I agree, tempo does push at the start of the solo section. Not a lot, but it's enough to be noticeable. It's like the difference between 240 and 260 bpm.
Buddy Rich only played at one tempo, FAST. And he only played in one way, LOUD. He and Keith Carlock are the most over-rated drummers I've ever seen or heard.
