This is from the movie Kamome shokudô right? From director Naoko Ogigami! I absolutely loved her movie 'Megane' and stumbled upon this clip. It definitely looks like a movie I would enjoy! Great clip
I would say this film is really worth watching it. It was excellent! Hope you can get your hands on a copy. Unfortunately, it seems like most JPN films that you can easily find in the west are gory horror ones....
Thanks! I've found it online though, but I haven't watched it yet. I love these kind of movies, somehow reminded me a bit of another great Japanese movie 'Tampopo'.
I'm assuming you haven't watched the movie. Basically, onigiri is the "main food" of the restaurant, but people have yet to order. So I think they are wondering how the "mysterious Japanese food" tastes like.
