This is Kristen at her pitching lesson. She starts out doing knee drills, then standing drills, and towards the end, she throws her first real pitch! And it's a strike!

this is an illegal pitch becuase she needs to drag her foot when she finshes other wise it will be a ball and by the way do not practice bad habbits doing drills
sorry above comment a bit messed up. I was trying to say I have gotten bad habbits from practicing things like that when i was young. Also, you might want to work on when she starts the pitch both her glove and ball hand should come up together. Her glove hand will obviously stop when it is pointing at the target and her ball hand keeps going round in the circle. Its best to start practice of this young =] Keep up the good work! She has great skill for her age! Keep us updated :) Nadine
Shes pretty good for her age!! However... you do realise that when she pitches in a game she has to start with both feet on the plate and her back foot must keep contact with the ground? I know you are trying to teach her technique and basic pitching here but if she keeps practicing it will become muscle memory! her with my ball arm going back and then around. Also, you might want to work on when she starts the pitch, both her glove and ball hand should come up together. (cont in next msg)
idont know much bout softball cuz i play baseball, lol, but that looked really good for her age i guess. it looked really fast coming out of her hand lol
She's doing great. My daughter is 6 and is in her first season of little league. It's coach pitch this year, but I want to teach her to pitch for next year. Where do I start?
