This was my jam. They played it to death on Video Music Box. I do miss the old school days. Had the chance to see them at a little club in the BX. Crazy energy. That was when I would paid see to shows. Now I won't waste a penny.
I remember when I was 13 I brought this track on Cassette...they got a slower version of this track and it's just as raw as the original! I really wish this group was one of the ones to have survived the that specific era of hip hop..there were many one time hip hop wonders during those days..but this group..seems like they could have went further like Tribe or even Leaders of the New school went.
Big Ups 2 My Lo-LiFe Niggas, Me N My Brotha Were Lo-Heads, 1LuV 2 My Deceps & V.I.P Niggas, Old School Shit RiTe Here, Ya Yung Niggas Dont Kno NuTin Bout Dis
I wasn't referring to this as "undergound" although this video wasn't in some MTV heavy rotation, and i doubt too many heads outside of the tri-state ever heard of Zhigge. Really, there' wasn't too many "underground" groups back then, cause there wasn't nearly as much hip hop period, so alot of cats got videos. Shit, Supernatural had a video for Bhudda Blessed it.
I remember this because Rap City used to play the video. I was and am in South Carolina when it was played and plus my brother had the tape single. Good hip hop is welcome any day!
