There's not too many, if any, bands that give tribute to that time. I don't think that they were being disrespectful to those beneath their feet. But yeah, it is a little suspect.

My Grandfather "fought" at Verdun against France.

He was German, of course, but this is irrelevant.

His four sons also had to "fight" against Russia in the next war. One stepped on a land mine in Poland, one was taken
prisoner at Stalingrad, another in Czechoslovakia.

All four returned, thank goodness :)

Midnight Oil is a legendary band, and I'm glad they are keeping the memories of our history alive like it should be. We will remember, we got to remember.
