If someone read first DMC novel than he know the Capcom makes a big mistakes, DMC 3 and first novel are deferent, and both of them have a deferent ending before first DMC game. Novel : Dante meats Vergil who represent him self like Gilver and his face is in bandages. There is no Gilver name with bandages in DMC 3 just Vergil, Temen Ni Gru and Arkham and in novel in one moment Dante and Gilver ( Vergil ) works together like mercenaries !?

Erm, I think we should all wait to hear from the actual game makers to tell us the truth on the matter, instead of just guessing. Here is my guess. XD

Sanctus refers to Nero as a descndant of Sparda, this may not be true, but sparda could have loved another woman too, or maybe he is just Dante's and Vergil's younger brother. He is related to them either way so . . .
