Apparently YouTube fixed the sound! Still, Will Barras made two options trying to get around the original problems:

And I forgot Physics World (dunno what I was thinking when I put together the extra dimensions bit). Steve Abel set me to rights (but made no demands): http://physicsworld.com/cws/article/p...
The talented dancers doubled as camera people, with some work by Neil Dixon. Stock footage is CERN's.
They'll have a lot of data to sort. 15 million GB per year, actually. Want to get involved and donate your computer's downtime? Try LHC@home: http://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/

comparing electricity to the big bang just does not do the argument justice.
if the explosion is not going to be "the same as" the "big bang" intensity wise then how can one justify the "reason" that it's all about science when the numbers won't even line up?
what you are describing is an international pork bill. nothing more.
an event that supposedly happened spontaneously as a single exploding thing will be recreated by smashing two together instead ... more evidence. just like spontaneous life
not to mention the event we think might have created everything we can see in every direction will be redone (we think) right here on earth ... close enough to the French capital to allow us the privilege of crossing our fingers
the final nail in the coffin for the silly idea of God and Christianity. ESPECIALLY Christianity
You just showed us that science is just another religion. PS "we have never seen scientists making mistakes and misscalculations" so from now on we all pray to science
@veshtericata Nukes could destroy the earth yet we still let Americans have them.
I feel safer having this switched on, something Stephen Hawking himself said is perfectly safe, than I do in the knowledge that America has the nuclear capability to destroy the earth many times over.
There is no chance no small chance. Like I said the second a black hole forms the mass can not be sustained therfore the second it forms it will collapse. Every thing is balanced. Think of it this was as well. The Earth right now at this second is getting bombarded by particles that are 3x times stronger and more powerful than whats going on in this LHC ... That should tell you something.
The amount of energy released in the collision isn't enough to power a flashlight. Everything is at the atomic level. You are safe.
I have a good idea: eveyone who thinks the world is going to ende should give ten dollars to unicef. YOu won't miss it if the world is swallowed up by a black hole.

btw testing will beigin at LHC soon, cant wait for the results
We live in exciting times
Or a new universe within the LHC.
Perhaps our universe was created by an experiment the same as this, and we are currently residing in a universe inside a particle accelerator.
