darkthrone always be one of the fucking master bands with or without the title of blak metal...i listen black and i agree with the people that prefer the old sound....but the true is that BM started with punk sound and for me DARKTHRONE is the same.....and i really like this sound so FUCK OFF to the people that say shit!!! just listen and have a good time.....

I agree, the Black MEtal Metal sound was more THrashy and Punkish. I personally like that sound better than (for a lack of a better word) "atmosphereic sound"
