I don't think so, Moody Blues are the best for the song. They are the writers of the song

The Moody's version is excellent, but
the song was composed by Larry Banks and Milton Bennett.
Bessie Banks originally performed the tune in 1964

Why should any of these people in this video get royalties? This is a Moody Blues song and they have the right to 100% royalties.

It's sad and so hard to believe that his mother left him as a kid. He must have had an excellent father. Him singing this song melts me!!
