Say or think what you will. But the fact is that there has never been nor will there ever be another guitarist / musician like Steve Morse. There are many that can play faster or maybe do something a little bit better than Morse. But Morse's ability to write and play in so many styles as a virtuoso is without peer. Most of the modern prog guitarists today have been influenced by Morse and have respect for his vast accomplisments. Musicians like Morse aren't made too often. His music is a gift.

john is better; john idelizes morse but the rule says that the next generations should be better than the past; anyway the truth is that morse should be proud of his fan john petrucci XD

Actually Petrucci idolizes Steve. And Steve really likes Petrucci....so stop the stupid comparisons. There is no scoreboard or statistics in music. But if you want one: "Best all-around guitarist" so many times in guitar player mag....that he had to be disqualified to win the award anymore!!!

idk man i think Petrucci and Steve are pretty evenly matched i think Paul Gilbert is up there too

they are all 3 some guitar monsters...
But I think that Petrucci is less versatile than Morse...
anyway I like them all ( ok, Petrucci in last lol )

they're all gods!!
but steve morse is a 5x best guitarist
