( My Poem for my people )

This is the day -- history's made,

Men worked so hard -- track is all laid,

Now we all wait -- on the first train,

From Massawa town -- and back again.

Steam shoots upwards, and forms a cloud,

    Wheels start turning slowly round,

People cheer out loud and are very proud,

Children sing along with the train's sound,

God bless Eritrea our beloved land.

There is no need to preserve any of this. It is documented, photographed & filmed all that is necessary. Junk all the remaining steam locomotives! Cut them apart & melt them down. Before that let the urban graffiti painters give it a go then let the army use them for artillery targets & demolition exercises!

Regardless of what people think or feel about these machines, they make excellent targets for weapons with armor piercing rounds! Rocket propelled grenades would do a dandy job on these.

Google "steam trains" & find out how many nations/tourists TREASURE to just simply look at, travel, take photos & ride on the "TIMELESS" history made generations ago.

For many, it reminds them of the very first time they got a ride on a train with their mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, etc,, the LOVING memory still DEEPLY seated in their hearts, minds & souls, that NO TECHNOLOGY can replace.

    Therefore, it's NOT about technology.

IT'S ABOUT PEOPLE'S LIVES CONNECTED TO THE MEMORIES.

There is nothing to preserve. It all changes with time. Neil Armstrong was living proof.

All things change, time moves on & the events move on into the history books. The articles of that time period get cut apart, melted down & reused for new products.

Updating technology ain't complicated but like MINTED diamonds,

PRESERVATION keeps historical scenes & objects TIMELESS & IMMORTAL.

Too bad,,, You got NOTHING to preserve.

Thanks for the warning,,, It's viruses, rodents, pests & pararasites of hiskind that has been endangering mankind since eternity.

Good to know, we can identify & eliminate the threat before infection can do the wanton inteded harm.

    Thanks for the update.
