It'd be great if the original composers of this song -- Big Star, Alex Chilton, etc -- were referenced in this thread. Take time to listen to the original. It's raw, heartfelt, moving and personal. The album the original song appears on is Sister Lovers by Big Star. Give it a listen.

Sorry, that's my fault. I should have done that. I first heard the song when This Mortal Coil did it, then the original Big Star version and became obsessed with both bands.

It seems that Jeff Buckley felt the same way as me. It was really something to hear him take one of my favourite songs of all time and do what he did with it.

I like the buckley version better only because of the explosive ending! always a good way to end a show. Your version def did justice mate!

I can't say which version I prefer, because they mean different things to me.

Well done! I LOVE the Buckley version of this song, and your tribute version is great too! Keep it up, and spread the soul of Jeff Buckley through the world through your music, just like Jeff did in his music!!
