I don't think it's a matter of Qt not supporting iPhone, it's a matter of Apple making pathetically locked-down pieces of crap that you can't program.

What can I tell you? I like the aesthetics of it. If it makes you feel better, I got linux running on my macbook. :)

Hell yeah! Its awesome! I'm gonna start writing apps!

Do you have to port the apps or could I write an app and run it on Mac OSX Linux Windows OR a Symbian?

There's a minimum of porting.
Normal Qt programming is done in C++, so you simply have to re-compile for each architecture.

However, they are working on some interesting stuff with QtScript and something called WML that may let you run a single script on all Qt architectures without ever compiling.

Also, Phonon is a BIIIIIIIITCH on Windows. I can't get my Qt music player to compile on Windows because I need the DirectShow headers or some weird shit. >_> Not Qt's fault, though.
