I've used--and improved upon-- your technique in the big ranges of the world and have even set up a hanging bivy off of (MY patented) 22 tool improved system ( I call it the "catch--22"). Sure, its heavy to bring 22 old school straiht shaft tools to the Hindu Kush and explain them to the customs agents, but (as you wisely point out) SLOW IS SAFE. going through customs was very slow and safe, almost as slow and safe as my 3 bivies/pitch average.
This is exactly what I have been trying to get across to people. thanks for your honest opinion of this revelutionary system that we have developed here in Canada. you other non-believers take a lesson here.
My favorite part about this video is reading the hilarious comments all the clueless people leave. This is the only way I climb ice now, and I ensure my clients do the same.
