In my case, I'm not trying to conserve anything! Sure The killers bring a fresh new sound to it, but this song wasn't meant to be fresh, it is raw, dark and melancholic. By popping it up as the killers did, it just ruined the song for me. I like the killers, I really do, but just not their cover of shadowplay.

I always prefered New Order to Joy Division, I do not like Ians voice, Wire were a more interesting post Punk band IMO...or PIL..

This is one of those cases where a bunch of Joy Division fans can't seem to get that another band can do a song better. Hendrix did All Along The Watchtower better, SRV did Little Wing Better, and the Killers do this song better. Stop being conservative prudes.
