Chung King Mansion in Hong Kong

Last year, I had been there..OMG...won't go there anymore........

I'm actually looking for a place to stay in Hong Kong in the new year.

After seeing this I will NOT be at Chungking Mansion. I want to survive and not be electrocuted, burned or poisoned.

OMG, I can smell the halls right now! Curry and garbage...

great place, pity about the smell... and managed to get lost inside it so many times when pissed..all part of the chung king experience. There's a great irish bar right next to it called murphys...oh and then there's the spaghetti house.

how can someone stay there for more then 1 second? i came in hk 3 times already (total 7 months) and this september ill come again but if i have to live in that kind of rats' nest i prefer to go in africa in the jungle

Just seeing this video is enough for me to never want to set foot inside CKM. Absolutely lethal electrics right at the start, where someone's scrawled FUCK.

Its fun to visit for an hour or two, but after seeing the many fires that had occurred there over the years and having seen the violent fights almost every time I've stopped in for look I'd recommend against staying there! Mirador Mansion is even worse! The Hong Kong Standard even wrote a piece about it not so long ago

I love chungking. stayed there when i went to HK in '95. it's like a whole town in one building. 50HK$ for a bed was cheap even then in that city!
