but i think, watching this, my heart just broke

the reason he is so beloved is because he is a male expressing his genuine affection, desire, and love for life. if all men could be so vulnerable, beautiful, and honest there would be so much less heartache. i love this voice and this heart.

While I agree with this, it is totally and completely unfair to blame only the male gender. In full truth, most of the asshole guys out there are only assholes because their hearts have been broken and hardened by some pretty awful girls. And to take things further, those same girls were in turned hardened by cold guys as well.

It's a broken world and a vicious cycle, but each generation, a select few individuals manage to break out of it. Just try to be one of them =)
