The music video recording is simple. I'm in a band, and this is how we do it:
Record your song, then go out with a video crew. Then set up a PA system (moniters) and output your music through it. Then they play along with playing, AS THEY ARE PLUGGED IN. They just play along with their own music, and then cut out the audio from the video takes. Then splice the recorded music with the video, viola, music video.

yeah they don't actually record audio when they do music videos thats the point? he his is probably singing and playing exactly whats on the track, they just aren't plugged in.

ya but they still play and sing the song but they take the studio version and swap it with what they sang
