Given to me by my brother, on a mix tape, back in '99.
The background music in this is "Peace", by Paul Kelly, on "Soundings in Film".
The "six inches in front of your face", that's where we Live. It's the choices you make in that place that ultimately defines you, and, over time, the course of your life, until the end. So many of us have grand plans for "Out There" or "The Future", but never really focus on what's right in front of us, right now.

Third, this is about inspiration. There's no place for haters here, not white Serbian homophobes or otherwise. This is about 'Philadelphia', that is, the love and respect that comes from the brotherhood between warriors, a togetherness forged under fire. If you don't know what that means, I suggest you get your ass off the couch, go find a team to join, and go to battle, whatever that battle may be. That's the ONLY way to ever find out. Those who know, know.
So, you replace "2:53 hahahahhahaha" with "2:54 bahahahahah black gay". Straight up, you're a fuckin' Tool. First off, we get two or three knuckleheads in here a week saying "2:54 haha". After almost four years, it's NOT THAT FUNNY. Second, the dude's wearing eyeblack, not makeup, in a way that is not so uncommon in football nowadays. In the flick, he becomes friends with the white guy with the same eyeblack at 1:02. (But no one ever mentions him.)
The best movie on football. this is classic Pacino doing the coach's speech. One of the best. I still wonder if Eric Mangini or Andy Reid could give that kind of speech. "Either we heal ass a team, or we will die as individuals".
