IMO the movie fails, the anime is much much better.

Great move and series but too bad RYUK has to be a dick and kill light...

you have to see at least half the face of your "victim" if you are a death note owner.
and you must keep his/her face in mind while writing the name and cause of death.

DEATHNOTE RULE # 2:
The note will not take effect unless the writer has the person's face in their mind when writing his/her name. Therefore, people sharing the same name will not be affected.

Then what is the point of writing names down? Shouldn't you just at someone and say "bang" and that person just dies?
