Hi, I'm a film student at uni - and I want to create something similar to these slow motion effects on a project I'll be doing soon, is there anything specific that was done whilst shooting it ? or in post production, perhaps the light source, or was it all just slowed down and nothing else on whatever program was used to edit?

If ANYONE commenter or the RH moderator has any tips or comments - would be greatly appreciated

@halalrooles Pretty sure you have to use a high speed camera that can record at really high fps. You can usually hire them out if your uni has a decent enough media department

@halalrooles well this video was made with a camera of slow motion but you can made a video with SONY VEGAS.

To capture smooth slow motion, you either a camera with a smooth slow motion feature (which shoots at 250fps), or to get slow motion as slow as this you'll need a Strobe light and/or a slow motion camera. They can be purchased for a lot of money or rented at a UNI's tech Station. Lighting needs to be very bright, and for editing something as simple as iMovie would work. Although Final Cut Pro would make it far more professional looking. P.S. I'm a film student too.
