The first time I saw Michel Petrucciani he was live on the Jay Leno show, many years ago. I hadn't hear of him before, but I was absolutely floored at how fluid and effortless and classy his playing was. Plus he did the latin flavor really well, which I'm a big fan of. Had to run out the next day to buy his music...

One of the greatest pianists ever, incredibly underfamous. Some of his liks give you goose bumps. Trio in Tokyo is one of his best albums. Also Pianism.
