It's nothing to do with 'Christianity' believing that everyone shall be forgiven that society is letting so many people off, if anything Christians are seen as more right and radical now days. If anyone is to blame it is definitely the liberals - who are usually atheist.
Pedophilia! understanding that adults enjoy having intercourse or molesting children.... umm questionable.. there is no cure or justification for this sort of behavior. Pedophilia is a crime... and should be punished as such...Forgiving the perpetrator is up to the victim not the relatives or friends... forgiveness is key to a life of peace, but only the child can do that since only the child was there to suffer the pain, the shame and the humiliation and depravity these people did to them.
It is a state of mind though, its like you or me wanting to have sex with our girlfriend/boyfriend, the physical attraction is the same, its a mental illness and you have to feel sorry for these people. Usually they will know they have the problem for years and fight it eventually giving in, although granted those who know about their issue should seek professional help, but sometimes its just not enough.
