Could you please tell me if you can export a 3d object to after effects? not the animation of a video but a 3d object. If possible how do you do it?

    Thank you in advance.

Haven't tried this myself as I don't get the opportunity to use After Effects. Looking online, there are some documents if you want to view: "shisko. blogspot.com /2007/05/max2ae.html" and "forums. creativecow. net/thread/2/993934" look promising

Sorry I missed your comment. Not sure why it didn't notify me of your response and hopefully you have solved your issue with motion blur.

This technique is good but it destroys render times, especially with complex scenes. So is it possible to get a similar look by rendering the animation, then bringing it into adobe after effects to add the motion blur. The render times will be much improved that way.

My experience of AfterEffects is limited so I couldn't confidently provide an answer. Regarding the Max software, have you looked into the different settings related to blurring. Have a quick search in the Max help file under "Image Motion Blur" and let me know if the outcome is useful or not.

The first two ways do not seem to be working with mental ray. So the only option for me is the camera motion blur. How do you exclude or include objects in the camera motion blur?
