Sorry, ive been reading reading way too much philosophy. Politics (within which the concept of rights falls) rests on more fundamental philosophical truths. The discussion must always, no matter what the subject is, start off with a clear definition of the concepts being used. And what deeper concepts those rest on. Ultimately reducing down to the perceptual level. Again, too complex in this forum. P.S.........Love your country.
3rd. "Rights are merely a fact that acknowledge our very existence" Thats wrong on a few points. A right is a principle that is a culmination of more fundamental philosophical principles. its one of the lower branches of philosophy. Our existence isnt reliant on whether we have rights or not. The concept of "rights" only come up when living in a society that trades. Property rights being the only way to implement any other rights Its a very complex issue, threads on you tube cant do it justice
I'll have to thank my wife for the tequila, PBR and the fireworks.......Touche! I'm not in complete disagreement with you, maybe just different modes of thought and experience and passions. I have got to say, this is the most thoughtful conversation I've had on a Youtube discussion. Thanks.
Your arguments are all over the place. 1st. "Its a right for every living entity in the world to exist without human intrusion..." Well, again you're using the word "right" in a false context. Does that include bacteria? So discovering a cure for Tuberculosis was just a human prejudice, it was wrong for someone to "interfere" with nature. 2nd. Rights ARE supposed to be earned and fought for. The American Revolution is the shining example to prove this point.
We can only hope that ignorance reaches extinction before our wildlife and ecosystems do. The sad thing is, PlaceOfOrigin, when you say that humans have right and morals, you're right in the fact that we have them and choose to ignore them and we are so selfish and irresponsible with them. When you take, are you given the right to do so, or do you give yourself the right to choose for another living being?
