A disease called White Nose Syndrome is devastating bat populations across the eastern U.S. Officials are trying to stop the disease in its tracks before it infects Texas bats. White Nose Syndrome is not transmissible to humans but you should never handle a bat or any wild animal. For more information, check out the Bat Conservation International website at www.batcon.org.
