very clever showing dexters morning ritual which kinda relates to his killing rituals .i love it ,gave me "chills" the first few times i saw it

All of the elements of this intro are ironic references to murder. (E.g. Orange knife to murder weapon and tying laces to choking someone with a rope, etc)

This theme doesn't seem entirely original to me, always reminds me vaguely of the theme from some really old show circa 50's-70's that I can't quite place the name of.
