The new Eclipses suck balls. They have sucked since they quit putting 4g's in them. The GT's are slow as balls stock vs. stock a GSX will rape them. If you're going to buy an Eclipse and race it buy a DSM, if you're not racing them they make a good dd but aren't fast enough to hang with the big boys..

To all the moronic people saying a mustang gt can beat the eclipse gt, you my friends are idiots. I own an eclipse gt and have raced many stang's and win by 4-5 cars easily.
And to the people that say "well this car that I don't actually own but heard its fast can easliy take an eclipse, either take your 4 banger rice burner up against one or do a little more research than your "extremely uneducated guesses".
actually there are a few guys who have superchared the 06 Eclipse GT's, putting down over 300whp...look up s/c 06 eclipse gt on here
im pretty sure STANgGT5 you raced a GS eclipse (4cylinder) boosted cause no one on the street has a boosted V6 yet....
a stock gt mustang cant beat a stock eclipse gt.....especially from a rolling start!....its not easy to leave the dig with a 235-240 FRONT whp run into a bit of wheel spin! as u can see even with that guys D/R he is spinning...
The new 3.5 liter Accord is faster than the Eclipse and more power and all on regular gas
