Republicans have always supported small government yet under Bush central government increased in size.

The old Republican party was about keeping government out of people's personal lives; a position with which I don't disagree.

But look at them today: They want to tell people what to do w/their bodies (abortion) & what people should do with other people (gay marriage).

Of course, all of these are "personal" politics. Fox wisely stays away from discussing coporarate profiteering in Iraq and Afghnstn.

"If you want to end war, get rid of the profit motive" - General Smedely Butler, USMC

O'Reilly operates from a place of desperate insecurity & needs to feel constantly exalted, validated and praised in order to escape the gigantic weight of his massive inferiority complex and sees disagreeing with him as a huge personal rejection & ardent verification of his inadequacy, hence his screaming fits .

Glick should have studied Bill's tactics & used them against him in the interview, cutting him off & ending the interview when he was good and ready. He should have also put Bill on notice that he was NOT going to use Glick's dad's death to buoy his nonexistent argument. Guys like Glicks must stop quivering in the presence of con bullies because, like all bullies, guys like Bill are complete cowards.:)

Cons always try to spin disagreement with them or the Bush administration into disloyalty to one's country. They been allowed to get away with that for too long. It's time to start calling them on their tactics wherever they're being used.

Fox News always reminds me of one of my favorite quotes. It's from Samuel Johnson and goes like this:
"Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel."
