Indeed. I cannot believe that these damn pessimists are so upbeat on bringing the project down before it's even started! This always happens with new scientific advancement, there is always someone hanging around the corner ready to slag it off; yet also ready to reap the benefits when it works.

yes how can a massive thermonuclear explosion over 100x the size of our planet possibly create more radiation then a machine built by man.

and you seriously can't understand how knowing the universe benefits all of man? just building this thing has contributed massively to the fields of IT and engineering. but you are right, understanding fundamental forces like electricity never outweighed the potential harm did it
