hey that was really cool and amazing!!!! i was wondering if you could maybe give me some suggestions on easy 50's partner dance moves. I'm in a 50's play so we have to do a lot of partner dancing.

Well I've never done dancing like this before so that whole dance was pretty basic. My friend and I watched a few clips of dances other people had done and looked up some moves on the internet. I think the jive was one of the easiest to pick up, it's really simple and good for filling in between other moves and keeping the dance flowing. Also the one where we join hands and turn each other around, at 1:21, is easy and quite fun to do. Then there's the part where I'm swung from side to side...

That's explain to the person below, it takes a bit of practice but I think if my friend and I can learn it, (We're the clumsiest people you could meet) then anybpdy can lol. I hope I helped :S Comment me if you have any other questions. Thanks for watching

Hey, a question on how you do that lift where he swings you to one side then to the other? Could you explain that, then the one where you go all the way around? I'm choreographing a 50's dance and I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

I'll try lol. The first one where I swing from one side then to the other, I kind of had to bounce myself against my partner's lap to be able to push myself to the other side then swing my legs around. Also my partner bent her legs a little as I landed on her lap (Yes, it was in fact a girl, my best friend, dressed as a guy lol). Then she straightened her legs to help me push myself away. I know it sounds confusing, it's difficult to explain, probably easier to demonstrate.

The second one where I go right around her back is the same idea, just with more force. It did take quite a bit of practice. It also helped to have my hands round the back of her neck, rather than on her shoulders because I had a better grip as I swung around. We tried with my hands on her shoulders and I kept falling lol. That's about the best I can explain it, I hope I helped a little :S Let me know how you do. Good luck!

Hey Julie. I'm the girl with the tied hair lol. I borrowed the skirt from a woman in my town who makes costumes for the local pantomime. I think you would probably be able to get a similar style on the internet, maybe eBay or something. Sorry, I can't help you out more. Thanks for watching the video :) x
