John the Revelator trailer

As a fan of Peter Murphy's music and literary journalism, it's great to finally see him publish a novel that is true to the spirit of his writing, that appeals to the emo kid in me (ok I'm no critic, but it's a cool novel, read it). Thanks for the recommendations and sentences over the years!

Everything about John the Revelator excited me I couldnt wait to turn the page and keep on going. It was like reading for the first time, almost as if Id never read a novel before. Roddy Doyle

John the Revelator will be published in February in the UK and Ireland by Faber and Faber and in August in the US by Harcourt Books.

Peter Murphy is a writer and journalist, based in Ireland. He is currently a contributing editor with Hot Press magazine, and has written for Rolling Stone, the Sunday Business Post, and other publications. Murphy has contributed liner notes to the forthcoming remastered edition of the Anthology of American Folk Music and is a regular guest on RTE Televisions arts programme, The View.

As I highly rate Peter Murphy's journalism and a a big fan of my Cave. I am really looking forward to John the Revelator and wish him the very best with it.

Not sure if there are echoes, rathnapish, though I do believe Peter Murphy rates Cave's novel. My own view is that John the Revelator is (amongst other things) better-written. Cheers for checking out the trailer.
