It's already possible for sites and site users to obtain strong, trusted authentication, through PKI, in a way that leaves identity in the hands of the identified rather than a central controller. The only thing that is missing is the "simple" aspect of it. If you want to avoid this notion of Identity 2.0, work toward providing a simple method for user-controlled public keys to be used for site authentication.
His reasons FOR Identity 2.0 don't seem adequate to me. Who wants identity 2.0? Who does this benifit? he says "Id 2.0 is inevitable... but if you want a world where its your identity, not their identity, and technology is open, not restricted.. join the conversation blah..." To be honest i think the implementation of this 1 sovereign identity will be restrictive.Your identity WILL become their identity. This is a really dangerous idea and i find it disconcerting that its not being questioned
Awesome video! You truly are a leader. The content you provide, are the same great techniques that have caused me to achieve massive success, all through free marketing. Keep up the good work, and look forward to future videos...
Very clever guy! These kind of things are our future. At the moment I am doing a research about identity 2.0 in combination with LBS (Location Based Services). Pretty interesting subject.
