Park Hyo Shin sang Beyonce's Listen on July 29th 2007 at Seoul Encore Concert as an encore song. (He probably saw the movie multiple of times, since he's known movie addict. He was said to watch movies 3-4 times a day when not working on his music.)
As fans knew already there were a lot of problems with his recording company treating him badly.
Well... on 28th concert, Hyo Shin cried on stage not because he was happy, but because he was so sad and angry at their way of treating him, the concert staffs and the fans. Apparently Hyo Shin didn't know whether or not he was able to be on stage on 28th until the day of the concert, because the recording company was going to cancel the whole concerts, probably due to bad money management or something. So Hyo Shin did not get any sleep worrying about the concert, and got the green light around noon, so he practiced non-stop from noon to 5pm, rested an hour, then came on stage as the concert began. He said that never in his life there was a moment where he did not want to perform on his concert as much as this time. He had endure 3 months of unthinkable situations, and then decided that he had to keep his promise to his fans so decided to sing. He didn't know whether or not the last encore concert on 29th will happen or not. (A lot of rumors said that the concert would be canceled. Finally the day of the concert on 29th, the official site said the concert will happen. So some of staffs on stage, like the conductor, genius guitarist, etc did not make it to the concert.)
Anyways, on 28th concert, he did not say much but sang the songs, then he said he has a lot on his mind and wants to say so much that he better not start, and that THEY are here at the concert. Well, THEY meant Hyo Shin's recording company's heads and staffs, who were controlling what he can or cannot do. One fan wrote that she was glaring at older looking men in case they were Hyo Shin's company people. LOL.
And around the end of the concert, he finally broke down and just cried, and fans who knew what's going on cried along with him. When he sang Listen on 28th, people said his voice was so emotional that their hearts were going to stop or leap out of their bodies. LOL. They got the feeling that the song was about his situation and how much he just wanted to sing without all those crazy problems. It was like shut up and just listen to me sing. He said that he wanted to cover the song after watching so many korean singers sing them on tv, and that he might be bad at it. (Are you kidding!) Then of course he blew everyone away there. He said he wanted to sing them on national TV but nothing scheduled yet. (Well, the recording company is not going to do what Hyo Shin wants, so fans decided that they are going to request Hyo Shin to be back on Yoon Do Hyun's Love Letter. The requests were crazy online! Everyone was saying we want Hyo Shin on the show and let him sing "Listen". I requested one too~. I would love to see him sing on TV with clean audio. The fan cam is great, but said it's nothing like the live stage... but tv audio is better than nothing!)
For 29th concert, nobody knew whether the concert was still on or not until that day. Then at the concert, a lot of Hyo Shin's singer friends came on as guests. SG Wannabe's Jin Ho(a known Hyo Shin fan), Ivy(who said her ideal man is Hyo Shin on interview, which made Hyo Shin's fans little jealous, LOL) and Lyn(fans thought Lyn's good as Hyo Shin's friend, but not as his potential girlfriend, LOL. Apparently some fans thought they were dating when Hyo Shin said "Lovely" on his cyworld main page. Lyn's nick name is Lovelyn. Anyways, Lyn wrote on her cyworld that she likes him as a FRIEND/Brother, which made those zealous fans come down.) came on.
Lyn asked joking whether or not Hyo Shin got paid yet from the company, but he said not yet. So money hungry recording crooks should pay him his due soon, and let him go free!! Arrrrgh!!
Hyo Shin said that "Outside, THEY are the weakest, however on stage THEY are the strongest." They means Hyo Shin and musical staffs on stage. =) Good one, Hyo Shin! Sticking it to them!
