da girl is monster's gf in da mv. probably something happened and she ended up a vegetable in da hospital. monster earned money by telling jokes so that he could buy her a dress. after he saved enough money, he finally brought her to the theme park where they went before. and finally she could smile. that's what i understand. hope it helps :)
