This band puts most bands to shame. But I do not think our new leader would approve of the songs they play, unless they play the workers march, or some Ludicris.

All kidding aside this is one of the top 3 or 4 bands in the land, maybe Ohio State, wisconsin, USC and Michigan rank up there maybe...maybe not...

The "Fighting Texas Aggie Band" is and has been the top miltary marching band in the nation. Anyone one that has experience in military drill can appreciate what these men and women accomplish.

This is very precise, and quite good, but I personally don't much like Military style marching. I actually prefer the marching most High Schools do. Whether it's more difficult or not, I really enjoy the creativity it involves, and it's a lot of fun to practice and perform as well. :D

I grew up in Ann Arbor, played in the UM band, and the USMC band in DC and involved in music until my retirement. I've always considered the Aggie band as one of the best in the country. But there are a few others worth watching: Ohio State is outsanding (to my regret). The Mich. State, Indiana and Wisconson bands are also very good. There are very few military style bands left and the Aggies are certainly an outsnding example.

Check out my profile; I have every performance from the '06-'07 regular season. These are professional recording clips from a TV show.

Yeah; Prarie View - so you couldn't even get into the REAL A&M, so you obviously know about the discipline and concentration it takes to perform a precision drill, right? I mean, dancing around on the field is sooo difficult; that's why pretty much every HIGH SCHOOL in the country does it, right?

Yeah, you might think this is boring, but I guarantee you that no other band is as respected. Anyone can dance, and I've seen Prairie View A&M... their band isn't even in the same league as the Aggie Band. They dont have much musical quality at all, they're just pure entertainment. Not really comparable in this situation.

And jazzman... NO ONE "sits and watches" the Aggie Band. It's been my experience that they all stand in silence.
