That's exactly how it happened. Eno got into his time machine back in 1971, traveled to 2006, stole the idea of generative music from Nintendo, went back to 1971, and then recorded 35 years' worth of music ripping off a hand-held video game.
Nintendo then stole time travel from Eno and went back to 1971 to sue him, but the court tossed out the suit on the technicality that the plaintiffs hadn't been born yet.
It's all very complicated.

Brian Eno has influenced my entire musical career and now he has reinvented my iPhone! OMG! The coolest app out at the moment.

Eno did the startup sound for XP. Robert Fripp did the startup sound for Vista.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
what a cacophony. I'd rather be listening to a cat being hit by a car while giving birth. Or Britney Spears.

Did he ever collaborate with Bauhaus? I know they covered his song "Third Uncle" but I'm pretty sure that's it...

about the Electroplankton debate:
The original idea was Eno's. Look up generative music and Sseyo Koan (which Eno helped design). Electroplankton just took those ideas, and Eno & Chilvers felt they should take it back.
BTW Peter Chilvers has a free download-only album called "Free" which is quite good

i really like this app. not so much creating my own sounds tho, I like to just listen. It's very very soothing, yet depressing. So it helps me both clear my head, and think very very hard. I can listen to it for hours.
