Scene from "Shanghai Dreams"(2005) by Wang Xiaoshuai, takes place 1983 in China's post Mao era. Western culture (disco music) starts to "spoil" China's youth.

Actually the first song was "Rivers of Babylon" by Boney M.

However, I would like to know the name of the 2nd song sung by the Chinese woman. I used to be a waiter in a Chinese-American restaurant and the family that owned the restaurant would sometimes play that song while we cleaned up at night.

I found it!!! I had been searching for this song for years as well and finally found it today. It is a song called 'Mei Jiu Jia Ka Fei' sung by the great Teresa Teng. Something about making coffee and adding wine.

have a look to this video "Un sacco bello [sigla iniziale]"

It's from the 1983 starring Carlo Verdone one of the best young italian comedian at that time. This movie was a great success. As you can see Italy at that time was not so different from China, you had Mao we had DC....christian democracy

    No words need scene
