Im taking world music right now and we are on Indian music roght now and OMG if complicated as hell all the tal tin raga is all mixed up in my head...all i know is that i love this singer and if you like her to look up Lata, shes another INdian singer very famous.

You think Hindustani music is easy? You have no idea about it. Hindustani music is very exhaustive and very highly developed because of patranage from kings and nobiility and intellectuals of the king's court. Alapan in Hindustani music is more elaborate than carnatic music. Carnatic music is based on Kritis.
