The paint scheme was taken from actual WW1 photos and the nose art actually belonged to Werner Voss' aircraft.

Well, we all dream of what it would be like to have real machine guns on the triplane. Unfortunately it would be a serious federal crime to do that, so we stay in the dream mode!

Did you ever get the chance to perform the tail slide maneuver with that thing? I have once...scared the everliving out of me when I did it. Felt like I was on a state fair tilt-a-whirl ride. :)

I mean really, what are you going to do in it without machine guns? Fly around in it and look pretty? That's pretty pointless. The public doesn't care about such rubbish and watching mock combats with bags of flower and ridiculous airfield commentary. A DR-1 is a piece of airborne calvary that lusts for combat. Hook up your dual Vickers, and take that puppy into an active combat warzone.. some place like Afghanistan against the imperialist US Federal pigs. You'd become hardcore notorious.

I authorize you to mount real machine guns on your Dr-1. Playing with war machines without fire power is just silly, like playing with toy guns with orange noses on them instead of real guns. If you're going to build war machines, build war machines, not neutered jokes. Like all war machines, the Dr-1 was designed to be a killing machine.

Where are you from? Can I go there to see the plane for myself? I'm a young pilot and I grew up watching movies about aviation. When I saw the Fokker DR1... I knew what the real love is.

i dont think it belonged to werner voss it got destroyed when he got shot down
