I was there for this, if you looked over the bowl there was a huge illuminated cross on the hill not to far away. With Our Prayer and the state of the night, one could have very well been moved by a religous experience. Made me believe for a few minutes.

I saw SMiLE on October 4th 2004 in Ann Arbor Michigan. It truly was a once in a lifetime treat! Brian Wilson is one of the greatest composer/performer/arranger of the 20th century. I do believe that SMiLE today is so much better than it would have been with The Beach Boys. Mike Love especially hated it and without their support, it just couldn't have been as good. Brian now has a band that loves him and respects his amazing talents. That makes all the difference in the world!

God I was awak in the airforce than but i'm from detroit near annarbor but at that time I was listening to Smile almost constantly, I TRULY TRULY TRULY love Brian Wilsons music and it has thankfully been the music in the background or should I say forefront of sooo many important events in my life. He is one of a kind TRULY.

Reminds me a bit of Dewey Cox's Black Sheep.. who made the original? Hard to say.

that whole segment of the film is a parody of Brian's SMiLE era. in fact brian's smile collaborator Van Dyke Parks wrote black sheep.

Our Prayer/Gee is really a treat, amazing song. However I prefer the original with the Beach Boys, but the new Smile version is also really great and rewarding to listen to. Thankful that Brian finished Smile
