Something you just don't see these days. Not just snow on a football pitch but just snow!
After being served up some great football just a few years before we then had to endure some real mediocre matches. That said there were still a couple of good Barnsley players around at the time including goalkeeper Baker, centre back Paul Futcher, winger Gordon Owen and one player that didn't play on the day utility man Stuart Gray. The latter could play anywhere, a real quaility footballer. How ever he ended up at Oakwell I'll never know.

simple fact is they dont play like this now because playes are too 'expensive'. money is the most powerfull thing around in the modern world especially in football
I love these old footy highlights... was born in 82 myself so missed out on the terraces and the nitty-gritty football supporting - would love to have been there to have stood in the terraces.
I was there and I still remember Noel Blake equalising in the last minute. Heartbreak but I loved football at Oakwell in those days. I dont care for it these days cos too many foreigners in squad and I cant remember their names.
