Vaughney was as dignified as ever during this speech. I hope he can score runs for Yorkshire, and get back for the Aussies next year. We all know what a fantastic player he is, and he has proven class. His cover drives are one of the greatest sights on a cricket field. He was a terrific captain - so cheers Michael, and hope he gets back and puts the Aussies to the sword one last time!

I felt for Vaughnie to be honest. A very good player, stylish, elegant and owner of the greatest extra cover drive in the game. I think his captaincy will be missed - we definately needed him for the Ashes in 09 both as captain and as an in form batsman. I hope he comes back fresh asap as he is a class act - a proven performer. Anyone who gets 3 100's in Australia in 1 series against Warne, McGrath and Lee has got to be a world class player. I believe he'll come back scoring buckets of runs.
