An Advertising Parable For The Holidays

For the record, WE don't know anyone in advertising who behaves like this. (Do you??) Conceived, written and produced by World Wide Wadio... with apologies to (and much admiration for) the origin...

Right. The client is not always right. But we don't know that, we're just designers.

I used to be a designer a year ago and I encountered people like this all the time!

I think you should mention that it's an advertising parable a couple more times. And could you slow it down at the part where you say "logo"? Thanks. Also, my niece is very creative. She's hoping to get into the musical business. She has an idea for a different melody. I was thinking tomorrow, the three of us could rewrite this idea, but using a different classic movie. Just brainstorming here. Call me back when you get a chance.

Even though I told you I wouldn't need to see another proof after the last proof, you ran the ad with changes we discussed without sending me a proof. I'm refuse to pay for the ad since you ran it without sending me a proof first even though that is what I told you to do in the first place. In the second place, I don't understand why you made so big. I didn't wanted it bigger but not too big; now things look crammed. I expect a follow up call even though I won't answer your call.

I think this must be the deal the world over. I've worked as a designer in the UK, Australia and Denver and you get this everywhere! Best tip: Put deliberate spelling mistakes in jobs so they feel like they've had an input. They usually shut up and let you get on with it after that :-)

I once actually saw a timeplan where someone had allocated a day at the very end to 'Changing logo size'. Luckily the client saw the funny side.
