The gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John - were written in the years 60-85. Jesus was crucified around year 30. If you are referring to two generations later then you may be referring to the assembly of the bible as one book but, the letters/books were written during the life of the disciples who were eye witnesses who were sharing the good news with those who had not seen but, who had also heard from other eye witnesses numbering around 500.

Christianity is a faith and a path to follow. There is no way to earn God's love by works and, there is no way we could ever be good enough on our own - only by the blood of Jesus can we be saved. Christians, the people, fight over the dividing lines of parts of their faith but, it is man who is divided and not Jesus. Religion was invented by man so, Jesus came to get rid of all the nonsense and show us how to follow him correctly. Jesus is good... All the time. You can trust in the Lord, always

There are other writings dating back to the times when Jesus was alive and rose from the dead that use his name and talk about him. So, it is well known that Jesus is a real man.
The bible was put together based on all the writings and teachings that were already being circulated in letter form when they were written: the gospels are first hand accounts and the letters were from Paul to people or churches - it wasn't made up.
Christianity isn't a religion - there are no whoops to jump through.

How in the wold did a vid of Jimi making up some amazing blues on a 12 string become a religious debate? Some people belive in God (for their own reasons) and some people don't(also for their own reasons).
