Nice intricate design and all...
But it's still basically a back-forth piston. With many more moving parts. It would probably be less efficient than a standard piston due to the increased friction.

Beautiful, but this is form over function.

friction is a big factor. it can be fixed, the guides that open and close the compression chamber it's an eccelent idea to improve compression, intake traveling area its too long and runs across hot surfaces and get heat to fuel and air = poor fuel economy. basic idea is good, needs cooling for high rpm's. direct injection it's a solution (lincoln mks eco boost) research about it and good luck!

Go and ck that out it looks to work? + burn veg oils, bieo-fuel could be a compressor [sp] and makes a lots of HP for it size.

Great design BUT where is the carter? Whow to lubrify this in action? It will not work in real conditions but the idea is good.
