Yesterdays soft and cuddly government program is todays financial chainsaw massacre. Far from an illustration of free-market dysfunction, todays mortgage mess is a classic case of socialistic governmental intervention gone awry. What the Clinton administration did, in forcing loans into these communities, was an economic crime. It was immoral it offered short term political advantage by helping Clinton sneak into his second term in office.

The best idea is to DISMANTLE both Fannie and Freddie. The idea of both of these companies is to inject liquidity into the mortgage markets, by freeing banks capital which would otherwise be tied up in the loans if it were not for F&F buying. The problem is when F&F get burned, the government gets burned. Also, I am sure banks are a lot less careful doing their underwriting due to the fact that F&F are going to soon be taking the stinky paper off thier hands, Will F&F ever die, oink oink, never.

I think the fight is over and the Demorats win. They are so much slicker pols than the Republirats and they control the major population bases, plus they are better at doling out the goodies. Minorities are slaves to the Demorats and thier numbers are rising, whites numbers are falling.
