atleast for the young cripples, by the time there 30 or something, they would be able to do everything normal again. i for one prefer normal me lol :D

We are soo many evolutionary steps away from being able to harness this power responsibly.
I'm all for it, but I trust the bad guys to fuck this up, too..
In the end, we will all have installed nanobots in our brains to regulate and control our psycho-social behaviour... And we will be so stupid and easily manipulated, that we would actually ask for it...

I agree, more than you might realize. It is a very real possibility I have wrestled with for years - but I try to convey this general concept for a variety of reasons, not the least of ,which is to allow all who are interested to at least consider this realm of development, and how it could be applied pro-actively for positive applications.

It will get a whole lot better before it becomes catastrophic. I project, at this rate, that before next millennium humans would have conquered death or at worst, death will have a different meaning to how we know it now. After that anything can happen.
