Looks like it's an older instrument by the look of its mechanism and the recording is not all that great.

so i'm guessing the English says Bar instead of measure?

it's not just the english...

My school uses Bar too,, and we're in Canada

Actually what i wanted was just to play a simple piece, for family gatherings etc. it's happening now Audrey ,tnx

most professionals have a flute for practice, and a flute for performance....doesn't he sound like James Galway?

No he dosent sound like james galway in any way and sure i have several flutes but theres all decent and clean

Keep up the good work, dude...eventually you will be able to play fast passages, once you believe in yourself. Also, learning an instrument, in your older years, actually slows the loss of memory, if not eliminating it. So have faith in your abilities, PRACTICE REGULARLY, and you should be alright. Btw, your chances are as good as any young person, just be persistent, because your good attitude to learning will help as well.
